Communications Systems Assistant Director

Tim Hannah joined South Sound 911 full-time in October 2015. He had been the Communications Center Manager for the City of Puyallup’s Communications Center (CityComm) since 2009. Prior to that, he worked for the Washington State Patrol from 1994 to 2009 primarily in the Communications Division serving as a Communications Officer, CAD System Administrator and Communications Supervisor. He started his career in public safety as a graduate of the Oregon State Police Cadet Academy in 1993 and worked for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (Salem, OR).  
 
Currently, he oversees the critical communications systems at South Sound 911 including the computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system, network infrastructure and operations, 911 telephone systems, and other technology systems that support operations. Tim also works closely with the radio systems that support public safety communications to our agencies.    
Tim is also the president and founder of a local non-profit, as well as a member of the Puyallup Kiwanis Club.
